Well folks it finally arrived! The first Apple event of 2015, the most exciting watch launch since the dawn of time. This event brings you the introduction of a GOLD Macbook (oh yes, I’m not even making this up), serious updates to health and fitness tracking, the launch of Apple Pay in over 2500 banks, and even the ability to stream HBO from your iPhone!
We’re here to give you a quick roundup of today’s highlights.

The Launch of Apple Watch
As you might remember from our various previous posts [INSERT https://www.icloudlogin.com/apple-watch-to-launch-in-march] about the launch of Apple Watch, it’s something we’ve been excited about from the start, but today we finally got to hear in delicious detail all of the sexy new features of the Apple watch.
- Keep on top of your fitness
- Make phonecalls
- Read emails
- Organise and play music
- Get into your hotel
- Go shopping
- Manage Instagram
You can do all of the above and more for up to 18 hours of battery life a day. Wow! It’s charged magnetically by clicking into place with the back of the watch. And it’s fully integrated with Apple Pay (see below for more info on that).
The super sexy Christy Turlington ran a half Marathon wearing the Apple watch, and she vows to use it to help her reach her target for the London Virgin Money Marathon (to come in in under 4 hours). Check out this video of the lovely lady chatting with Tim Cook about how she found the Apple Watch to help with her training:

When Can I get My Mitts on the Apple Watch?
The Apple watch (or iWatch as some thought it might be called), officially launches on April 24th when it will be available to buy in Apple stores in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. If you can’t wait that long, you will be able to pre-order your own ‘wrist band of the future’ from April 10th.
What’s It Going to Cost?
These sexy wrist-gadgets are the first brand new Apple designed product since Steve Jobs and are going from as little as $349 all the way up to the exclusive gold luxury version at $10,000. Yes $10,000!
…It’s a little out of my price range, but luckily the base model has everything I could possibly hope for!
2. The GOLD Macbook
Oh my god is this sexy! It’s basically a seriously pimped up version of the MAcBook Air, but Apple has decided to drop the ‘Air’ from the title and will now be referring to the device as ‘The Macbook’. It is completely silent, there is no fan. It weighs only 2 pounds and is 24% thinner than the MacBook Air.

3. HBO Go
In the run up to the release of the next series of “Game of Thrones” in April, Apple has teamed up with HBO to offer streaming services to Apple customers enabling us all to access the excitement from our devices from $14.99 per month. This service brings with it the possibility for you to enjoy unlimited access to every episode of every series you want from the accessibility of your device. Wherever you are. Whenever you want. For as long as you like.
4. Apple Pay
Apple Pay (for those of you who weren’t paying attention) is Apple’s new contactless payment system which basically turns your iPhone into a kind of non-contact-wallet. Its encryption software is incredibly sophisticated, so it’s actually far more secure than using a credit card. It’s safe as houses…and scarily easy to spend money! But it’s not yet out in the United Kingdom.
You may remember our article back in December 2014 covered the news on Apple’s tireless efforts to get Apple Pay into as many world territories as physically and technologically possible. Well, today Tim Cook announced Apple Pay is now working with 2500 banks worldwide (available in 700,000 retail stores).
Now this has to be a moment in history!
