How to Time Travel In The 21st Century

November 18, 2013

No, we’re not actually talking about physical time travel. We’re talking about virtually going back in time. Back to the moment before your laptop was stolen, damaged or lost. The moment before you’re heart sank, before you started thinking about the cost. Before you remembered all your sentimental pictures and videos, files and data had been lost. We’re here to show you how to go back to the moment before all of that, which will result in the immediate relief of thinking “thank god I backed up with my time machine!”

Time Machine is an extremely vital programme by Apple which allows you to make a complete replica of all the files on your Mac. The programme itself comes free with all Macs, it is a built-in backup feature of OS X that works with your Mac and an external drive (which you need to get separately) or AirPort Time Capsule.

All you have to do is remember to plug it in regularly and let it back everything up. If, in the result of your computer being lost, damaged or stolen, you can get everything, down to the most minute details back up and running on your new machine you won’t have to spend any time fretting over what might have been lost and the catastrophe’s that could have followed.

All you need is:

1. “A hard-drive compatible with Time Machine”
2. Time to plug it in and let it back up your machine

Here at iCloud Login we have found our Time Machine to be an incredible piece of kit, which we will continue to be forever grateful for.
