Us geeks at iCloud Login are very excited about the new iPhone 5s, let us tell you a bit about it.
iPhone 5s
Apple’s new flagship smartphone features top of the line options and comes complete with some seriously upgraded internal hardware including some completely new features:
Fingerprint Sensor
One of the most exciting features of the iPhone 5S is its built-in fingerprint sensor, which is within the home button. The Touch ID sensor can be used for instantly unlocking your phone and authorizing purchases on iTunes, leaving the 4 digit passcode redundant. Apple insists they will not keep fingerprint data on Apple’s network or iCloud, but only on the phone’s A7 chip.
Computing & Graphics
The iPhone 5s is also bringing phenomenal improvements to computing and graphics performance with a new 64bit chip, Infinity Blade 3, which reports to run five times faster on the iPhone 5s than on the iPhone 5.
Improved Camera and Video
As can be expected with Apple, the new camera on the iPhone 5s is a marked improvement with an upgraded sensor, a dual-LED flash, using two different coloured flashes to create the perfectly lit image and a new mode, “burst” which will enable users to hold down the shutter and take 10 frames per second until the finger is released. The phone will then present the best image to save scrolling through them all.
And for the video, we’re excited about being able to record 120 FPS slow motion video.
M7 Chip for Improved Health Apps
This exciting new chip has been designed entirely for health apps, allowing better data analysis using its gyroscope, accelerometer and compass. This data makes it easier for developers to create new and improved health apps such as the “Nike+ Move” App which will help monitor the health and body of the user.

Mark Gurman at 9to5mac.com has posted an excerpt of Tim Cook’s email to Apple employees detailing some of the thinking behind the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c products:
“Today is an important day for Apple. Many of you and your coworkers have been hard at work developing the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, which are the result of incredible collaboration between hardware and software which only Apple can deliver. In the weeks and months to come, especially as we approach the holidays, our Retail teams will help millions of customers experience these amazing products for the first time. We are also thrilled to be launching iOS 7 next Wednesday”.
The iPhone 5s will have the same 10 hours of battery life as the iPhone 5, and will be available in gold, silver, and space gray, and will be launched on September 20th, with pre-orders starting on September 13th.
The future is upon us!
